The Bizzart (Buteo buteo) is a middlin or muckle bird o prey, whase reenge covers maist o Europe an extends intae Asie. It tends tae bide aw year, except in the cauldest pairts o its reenge, an in the case o ae subspecies.

The Bizzart wis first descrieved bi Linnaeus in his Systema naturae in 1758 as Falco buteo.[2] Bizzart subspecies faw intae twa groups. The wastren Buteo group is mainly resident or short-distance migrants. They are:
- Buteo buteo buteo: maist o Europe
- B. b. rothschildi: Azores
- B. b. insularum: Canary Islands
- B. b. arrigonii: Corsicae an Sardinie
- B. b. menetriesi: Caucasus
- B. b. harterti: Madeira, doubtfully distinct frae nominate Buteo
The eastren vulpinus group includes
- B. b. vulpinus (Steppe Bizzart): Eurasie: migrant breeder
- B. b. burmanicus (Himalayan Bizzart): Himalayas an westren Cheenae
- B. b. japonicus: Japan: resident
- B. b. toyoshimai: Izu Islands an Bonin Islands
- B. b. oshiroi: Daito Islands
