Daraa (Arabic: درعا), an aw Darʿā, Dara’a, Deraa, Dera, an Derʿā ("fortress", compare Dura-Europos), is a ceety in soothwastren Sirie, near the border wi Jordan, wi a population o approximately 77,203.[3] It is the caipital o Daraa Govrenorate, historically pairt o the auncient Hauran region.
