The Fajardo faimily fled tae Miami, Florida as a result of the Cuban Revolution an settled doun thare. Shortly efter thay moved tae the United States, Gloria's faither joined the US military an focht in the Vietnam War an moved tae Houston, Texas, haein participated in the failed Bay of Pigs invasion. Gloria attended St. Michael-Archangel School[9] an Our Lady of Lourdes Academy in Miami. Her faither became ill efter returning frae Vietnam an Gloria helped her mither, Gloria Fajardo, care for him.
