It is locatit in the Finland Proper region an is a neebourin toun o Turku, which is the caipital o Finland Proper, therefore Kaarina is a pairt o the Greater Turku region. The municipality haes a population o 35,878 (28 Februar 2023)^[2] an covers an aurie o 179.58 square kilometre (69.34 sq mi) o which 29.15 km² (11.25 sq mi) is watter.^[1] The population density is 238.65 inhabitants per square kilometre (618.1/sq mi). The municipality is unilingually Finnish.
