The laird mayor is the teetle o the mayor o a major ceety in the Unitit Kingdom or Commonweel realm, wi special recogneetion bestowed bi the sovereign.[1] In the Unitit Kingdom, however, the teetle is ae used in Ingland, Wales and Northern Ireland. Scotland hae a different teetle - laird provost.
