The Machars (Scots Gaelic: Machair (Ghallghaidhealaibh); lit. "the Plains (o Gallowa)") is a peninsula in Gallowa in the sooth-wast o Scotland. It compreeses pairt o the coonty o Wigtounshire. The main touns here is Wigtoun an Whithorn.[1]
