Protagoras (Greek: Πρωταγόρας; c. 490 – c. 420 BC)[1] wis a pre-Socratic Greek philosopher an is nummered as ane o the sophists bi Plato. In his dialogue, Protagoras, Plato credits him wi haein inventit the role o the professional sophist.
