Shan State (Burmese: ရှမ်းပြည်နယ်, pronounced: [ʃáɴ pjìnɛ̀]; Shan: မိူင်းတႆး [mœ́ŋ tɑ́ɪ]) is a state o Burma (Myanmar). Shan State borders Cheenae tae the north, Laos tae the east, an Thailand tae the sooth, an five admeenistrative diveesions o Burma in the wast.
