Yehud-Monosson (Hebrew: יְהוּד-מוֹנוֹסוֹן) is the joint municipality o the ceety o Yehud an the neighborin communal dounset o Neve Monosson in central Israel, creatit bi thair pairtial municipal merger in 2003, unner the terms o which Neve Monosson retained municipal autonomy unner a Local Admeenistration (minhelet mekomit). Thair combined population in 2007, accordin tae the Israel Central Bureau o Statistics (CBS), wis approx. 25,800.[1]
Athin a local authority merger program initiatit bi the Israeli Meenistry o the Interior in 2003, the Municipality o Yehud wis merged wi the Local Cooncil o Neve Monosson. Unner the terms o the merger, Neve Monosson wis left wi a heich level o communal autonomy unner the electit Neve Monosson Local Admeenistration (minhelet mekomit) which wis grantit municipal status as an autonomous borough (va'ad rova ironi) bi the Interior Meenister in 2005 athin the implementation o the merger plan.
