The Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata (ANSA; literally "National Associated Press Agency") is a main wire service in Italy. ANSA is a non-profit organization. Their members and owners are 36 leading news organizations in Italy. Its goal is to support and publish reliable news.[1]
In 2013, they were the first news organization to announce the resignation of Pope Benedict XVI.[2][3]
