Alsdorf is a municipality in North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany. It is in the Aachen district. It is very close to The Netherlands. The town has 17 districts. The population was 47,000 in 2020. The main political party is SPD. The castle Alsdorf is a main tourist attraction. The town used to be a mining center and there is a mining museum. There is also a zoo.
