The first season, titled The People v. O. J. Simpson, presents the murder trial of O. J. Simpson, based on Jeffrey Toobin's book The Run of His Life: The People v. O. J. Simpson.
The second season, subtitled The Assassination of Gianni Versace, is about the murder of designer Gianni Versace by spree killer Andrew Cunanan.
The third season, titled Impeachment, is about the impeachment of 42nd President of the United States Bill Clinton for charges of perjury and obstruction of justice. The season came out on September 7, 2021.
The series is broadcast on the cable television channel FX in the United States. It premiered on February 2, 2016.[4][5][6]
Another season, based on the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, was in development, but FX announced in February 2019 that production on the season has been scrapped.[7]
