Lou Ottens (21 June 1926 – 6 March 2021) was a Dutch engineer. He worked his entire career at Philips. He was known as the inventor of the cassette tape.[1] Ottens was born in Bellingwolde, Netherlands

Ottens died on 6 March 2021 in Duizel, Netherlands at the age of 94.[1]
