Peter Yates

Peter Yates (24 July 1929[1] – 9 January 2011) was an English movie director and producer. He was born in Aldershot, Hampshire.[2] He was nominated for the Academy Award for the movies Breaking Away and The Dresser. He was also nominated several time for BAFTA Awards. One of his best-known movies is Bullitt (1968), starring Steve McQueen.[3] Yates died in London on 9 January 2011. He was 81 years old.[1][4]
