Queensrÿche has sold over 20 million albums. They were pioneers of power metal and later progressive metal in the 1980s. Many people say that Operation: Mindcrime, an album they released in 1988, is one of the best heavy metal concept albums ever made.[4][5] The band has been nominated for Grammy Awards three times.
