RMS Carpathia

RMS Carpathia[1] was a passenger steamship of the Cunard Line.[2]
Carpathia was built by Swan Hunter & Wigham Richardson. The ship made her maiden voyage in 1903.[2]
She was famous for rescuing the survivors of RMS Titanic after the RMS Titanic hit an iceberg and sank on 15 April 1912.[2]
Carpathia was sunk in the Atlantic on 17 July 1918 during the First World War. She sank after being torpedoed by an Imperial German Navy U-boat.[2] The captain of the Carpathia was A.H. Rostron.
