Renate Maria Dorrestein (25 January 1954 – 4 May 2018) was a Dutch writer, journalist and feminist. She won the Annie Romein prize in 1993. She started working as a journalist for a magazine called Panorama. She published her first novel (Buitenstaanders) in 1983. She was born in Amsterdam.
Dorrestein died on 4 May 2018 of esophageal cancer in Amsterdam at the age of 64.[1]
