Rhys Montague Darby (born 21 March 1974) is a New Zealand actor and comedian. He is best known for playing Murray Hewitt, the band manager of Flight of the Conchords, in the HBO television series of the same name (2007–2009). He has since appeared in movies such as Yes Man (2008), The Boat That Rocked (2009), Diagnosis: Death (2009), Love Birds (2011), Arthur Christmas (2011), and What We Do in the Shadows (2014).

Darby was born in Auckland. He grew up in the suburb of Pakuranga. He was a soldier in the New Zealand Army. He is married to Rosie Carnahan. The couple have two children.[1]
