Yehoshua Blau (Hebrew: יהושע בלאו , September 22, 1919 – October 20, 2020) was a Romanian-born Israeli scholar of Arabic language and literature. He was a Professor Emeritus at the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.[1] He was born in Cluj, Romania.
Blau was elected a Corresponding Fellow of the British Academy in 1983.[2] Blau was elected as a member of the Israel Academy of Sciences and Humanities in 1968.[3]
Blau died on October 20, 2020 in Tel Aviv at the age of 101.[4]
