Abanyom language

Abanyom is a Niger-Congo language. It is categorized as a part of the Ekoid language subfamily and Southern Bantoid group. The language is spoken by the Abanyom people in the Cross River State of Nigeria. As of 1986, there were about 12,500 speakers of Abanyom.^[2]

Abanyom is very similar to the Bantu languages. It is a tonal language. Its noun class system is the same as other Niger-Congo languages'.
