Alain Aspect (French: [aspɛ] (listen); born 15 June 1947^[2]) is a French physicist. He is known for his experimental work on quantum entanglement.^[3]^[4]^[5]^[6] He won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Physics with John Clauser and Anton Zeilinger. Earlier (2013), he won the Balzan Prize.
