Aleksey Ivanovich Slapovsky (Russian: Алексе́й Ива́нович Слаповский; 29 July 1957 – 8 January 2023) was a Russian writer. He was a novelist, playwright and screenwriter. He was born in Saratov Oblast. He has been nominated a few times for the Russian Booker Prize. In the 1990s, he worked at the magazine Volga.

Slapovsky died of pneumonia on 8 January 2023 in Moscow. He was 65.[1]
