Barry Commoner (May 28, 1917 – September 30, 2012) was an American biologist, professor, and politician. He is known for his failed 1980 Presidential Election campaign for which he was nominated to the Citizens Party.
Commoner was born on May 28, 1917 in Brooklyn, New York. He was married to Gloria Gordon until they divorced. He was later married to Lisa Feiner from 1980 until his death in 2012. He died on September 30, 2012 in his home in Manhattan, New York from natural causes, aged 95.[1][2]
