Bogan Hunters is an Australian television show. It is a comedy and also a reality television show. It is all about three people called 'Bogan Hunters' who are looking for Australia's greatest Bogan so they can give them a prize.

Description

The show has three main actors, Pauly, Shazza and Kev the Kiwi. These three go all over Australia meeting many Bogans. They want to find one that is much more of a Bogan than any other one they meet. They have picked eight famous people to help them find who is the greatest Bogan in Australia. The greatest Bogan will get a trophy and a Holden 'Straya' ute with beer on it, or a makeover. The show is about 2 percent jokes, but the rest is all real.^[3] The show has been very popular in both Australia and New Zealand.

Pauly, Shazza and Kev the Kiwi start looking for Australia's greatest Bogan in Perth, Western Australia at the Perth Motorplex where they find very rich Bogans who are sometimes called 'Cashed Up Bogans'. Later, they head to southern Tasmania, where they find out a new word. The word is 'obeasty', a new Australian word. They also stop at the Ned Kelly display in Glenrowan, Victoria.[6]

The Bogan hunters get to go to George Town, Tasmania, and then to Fremantle, Western Australia where they see Bogan icon Bon Scott's grave and join a group of Bogan Bikers. Last, they travel to a popular pub in Logan, Southern Queensland where Bogans whack each others faces very, very hard with thongs to sort out an argument.[6]

The Bogan hunters keep searching, they drink wine off a clothesline in Nar Nar Goon, Victoria, but they can't find any Bogans near Stonor, Tasmania. Later, Shazza goes to Holden's soon to be closed Adelaide factory, and Pauly and Kev go to the King of the Ring Fight and do burn outs in someone's living room in Darwin, Northern Territory .[6]

This time they go through New South Wales, Queensland, Victoria and South Australia. Shazza does her first burn out in a flannelette covered car, sees a Big Sheep statue and they look out for a two headed Bogan in the Tasmanian bush or woods.[6]

Davey Cooper joins Pauly and Kev for a look around northern Adelaide, South Australia. The hunters go to a concert that is in honor of Cold Chisel. Later they go to the Northern Territory, where they meet a man who is a thong throwing champion. Kev loses against Pauly in a fishing game, so Kev has to get covered in snakes and get in a tank and go for a dunk with a large crocodile.[6]

They go to Ravenswood, Tasmania, and meet a very fake poser Bogan in Queensland. Shazza gets to give her first ever home made tattoo to a mother in St. Helens, Tasmania.[6]

The hunters meet a crazy and sometimes naked Western Australian man, and a Bogan who lives in a Holden car. Later they go see ladies who like to wrestle in jelly in Ipswich,Queensland.[6][7]

The Bogan hunters think about the best parts of their trip and seven of the best Bogans they found during their trip are shown.[6]

The seven best Bogans compete for the title of 'Australia's Greatest Bogan' in a Grand Final event held in Sydney, New South Wales.[6]

The winners of the title of 'Australia's Greatest Bogan' get given the keys to the "Aussie pride 'Straya' ute" which has beer kegs in the back of it. The winners of the Best Bogan Female Award and the Overall Points Winner get to have a 48 hour make over done by Henry Roth, politeness lessons from June Dally-Watkins and their teeth are fixed by Haoey Dental.[6][8][9]
