Walter Bruce Willis (born March 19, 1955) is an American retired film actor and film producer.[1] His mother was German; his father was American. He became famous in the late 1980s. He has remained one of Hollywood's biggest stars, mostly for his role as Lt. John McClane in the Die Hard series.[2]
Willis was married to actress Demi Moore and they had three daughters before their divorce in 2001.[3] They were married for thirteen years. He has received many awards and honors in his career. Willis supports the United States armed forces and has been a spokesman several times.
Some of his best known movies are Die Hard, The Player, Pulp Fiction and Sin City.
In March 2022, he officially announced his retirement from acting after he was diagnosed with aphasia.[4][5] In February 2023, it was announced that Willis was diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia.
