Chandrapuram Ponnusamy Radhakrishnan (born 20 October 1957) is an Indian politician and businessman who has been the 15th and current Vice President of India since 2025. He was the governor of Maharashtra from 31 July 2024 until 11 September 2025. He was the governor of Jharkhand from February 2023 to July 2024.[7][8]
He was a member of the Lok Sabha 1998 until 2004. He was also the former state president of the BJP for Tamil Nadu.
In August 2025, Radhakrishnan was announced as the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate in the 2025 vice presidential election.[9] He was elected vice president the following month with 60% of the vote.[10]
