Cases

The first case in the country was mainly connected with the COVID-19 pandemic in Italy as there are about 70,000 residents^[4] of Italy from North Macedonia. This resulted in many people returning to North Macedonia, bringing the virus with them.^[5] It was confirmed in 26 February.
