Celeste Rodrigues

Maria Celeste Rebordão Rodrigues GCIH (14 March 1923 – 1 August 2018) was a Portuguese fadista (fado singer) and the younger sister of Amália Rodrigues. She was born in Fundão,^[1] Portugal. Rodrigues was known for her songs such as Lenda das Algas (Legend of the Algae), Já é tarde (It is already late) and Fado Celeste achievements.

Rodrigues lived in Lisbon and Washington, D.C..^[2] She died in Lisbon on 1 August 2018 from a stroke, aged 95.^[3]
