Chen-Ning Yang (October 1, 1922 – October 18, 2025),[1] also known as Yang Zhenning, was a Chinese-born American physicist and mathematician.[2] He worked on statistical mechanics and particle physics. Yang and Tsung-dao Lee received the 1957 Nobel prize in physics.[3] This was for their work on parity nonconservation of weak interaction.

He died on October 18, 2025 in Beijing, China at the age of 103.[4]
