Citalopram (better known as Celexa) is an antidepressant, specifically a SSRI, used to treat major depression and off-label conditions. The medicine was approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 1998.[1] Adverse affects from this medicine include although are not limited to drowsiness, nausea, vivid dreaming, dry mouth, sexual problems and trembling. Citalopram is also used for anxiety conditions and panic disorder.
