Citizens Advice

Citizens Advice (used to be called Citizens Advice Bureau) is the biggest independent advice organisation in the United Kingdom. The first 200 offices opened on 4 September 1939, four days after World War II started.^[1] In 1973, the government paid NACAB, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, to open more offices. In 2008/9, there were 416 member organisations offering advice from over 3,300 [laces in England and Wales and 22 more in Northern Ireland. They are all independent Charitable organizations. ^[2]
