Clive Selsby Revill (18 April 1930 – 11 March 2025) was a New Zealand actor who was best known for his roles in Avanti!, A Fine Madness, The Assassination Bureau, and in The Pickwick Papers. He also voiced Alfred Pennyworth in Batman: The Animated Series and Emperor Palpatine in the original release of Star Wars Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back. He was nominated for an Golden Globe Award for his role in Avanti!.

Revill was born in Wellington, New Zealand to British parents.[1] He was raised in London, England. He was married to Valerie Nelson from 1970 until they divorced in 1977. Then he was married to Suzi Schor from 1978 until they divorced in 1988. They had one daughter, Kate Selsby.

Revill died from problems caused by dementia at a nursing home in Sherman Oaks, California on 11 March 2025, at the age of 94.[2]
