Conrad Janis (February 11, 1928 – February 1, 2022) was an American jazz trombonist and actor. He was born in New York City.[1] He starred in Margie, The Brasher Doubloon, The Buddy Holly Story and in the Goldie Hawn comedy The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox. He also starred as Mindy McConnell's father Frederick on Mork & Mindy.
Janis died on February 1, 2022 in Los Angeles, California ten days before his 95th birthday.[2]
