2025 road collapse into sinkhole

A sinkhole (picture) showed up in September 2025; It is 30 m wide (c. 98 ft), and 30 m long, and 50 m deep (164 ft), as of the last week of September. It happened while a tunnel area was being constructed; That tunnel area is supposed to become a part of the MRT Purple Line.^[2] A hospital near the sinkhole, was evacuated.^[3] The sinkhole covers about 900 square meters.^[4] The incident is sometimes called, the 2025 Bangkok road collapse.
