Dustin Brown

Dustin James Brown (born November 4, 1984 in Ithaca, New York) is an American former professional ice hockey right winger. He played a total of 18 seasons in the National Hockey League (NHL). He played his entire NHL career with the Los Angeles Kings. He served as the Kings captain from 2008 until 2016.

He was picked by the Kings with the 13th overall pick in the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He also played 3 seasons of junior hockey with the Guelph Storm of the Ontario Hockey League (OHL). He was on the Team USA's men's ice hockey team in the 2010 Winter Olympics where they won the silver medal.

On April 5, 2022, Brown announced that he was retiring from playing professional ice hockey at the end of the season.^[1] On February 11, 2023, Brown was honoured in a ceremony where the Kings retired his jersey number #23 and created a statue of him outside the team's arena.^[2]
