Fatburger is an American fast casual dining restaurant chain.[1] It serves hamburgers, cheeseburgers, turkey burgers, veggie burgers, hot dogs, milkshakes, french fries, onion rings and other traditional American fast-food fare. They are also known for serving and inventing hamburgers with a fried egg.

The history
The company was founded by entrepreneur Lovie Yancey in Los Angeles in 1947 as "Mr. Fatburger". The chain has become a staple in the city of Los Angeles and state of California. It was not until the 1990s that Fatburger had begun expanding out of California.
The company was mentioned in rap lyrics. Those include "To Live & Die in L.A. video from 2pac in 1996 and "It was a Good Day" from Ice Cube in 1992. Punk rock group Descendents also used Fatburger in their songs.
