Germanwings was a low-cost airline owned by Lufthansa. It was based in Cologne, Germany.[2] It was founded in 2002. It has more than 81 airplanes which go to 86 airports.
On March 24, 2015, a Germanwings A320 flying from Barcelona to Düsseldorf crashed in the French Alps, killing all 150 people on board and is the worst aircraft accident in the operating history of Germanwings. The crash was caused by murder-suicide by a co-pilot.[3][4]
