The Government of the People's Republic of China is an authoritarian one-party political system in the People's Republic of China under the leadership of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).[1][2] It consists of legislative, executive, military and supervisory branches. The head of government is premier, while the de facto top leader of government is CCP general secretary.[3]
