Hallam FM is a regional radio station for South Yorkshire. It broadcasts from Sheffield and covers places such as Rotherham, Barnsley and Doncaster.[1] The station plays popular music and gives news, travel and local information.

History
Hallam FM first started broadcasting in 1974 as Radio Hallam.[2] It was one of the early commercial radio stations in the United Kingdom. Over time the station changed its name to Hallam FM.
Today the station is part of Bauer Media Audio UK. It broadcasts on FM and on digital radio (DAB).[3]
Programming
The station plays hit music and includes shows with presenters. It also gives news for South Yorkshire, including weather, sport and traffic updates.[4]
