The JAC Refine S5 is a compact CUV made by JAC Motors from 2013 to 2019 it replaced the JAC Rein.

History and Features

The JAC Refine S5 was previewed by the JAC Eagle SII concept at the Beijing Auto Show in 2012 in the same year at the Guangzhou Auto Show it was launched originally it was the Eagle S5 the car was renamed to JAC Refine S5 shortly after the improvement to fit the JAC Refine sub-brand.[1] [2] [3]

It uses a new plataform instead of the Hyundai plataform that the JAC Rein used due to the end of JAC Motors making under licence Hyundai's cars and is slightly positioned above the JAC Refine S3.

The JAC Refine S5 has a controversial design mainly because the front-end is similar to the Hyundai Veracruz the rear is simillar to the third gen Hyundai Santa Fe with the rear lights similar to Audi and the side is similar to the Hyundai ix35/Tucson the car has a 1.5 liter turbo petrol engine with a 6-speed both manual and Dual-clutch transmissions it was later improved.

The JAC Refine S5 was sold mainly in the Chinese market during its entire production.

Discontinuation

The production of The JAC Refine S5 ended in 2019 and was replaced by the Sehol X6.
