Jonathan David Larson (February 4, 1960 – January 25, 1996) was an American composer, lyricist, and playwright. Most of his works talked about homosexuality and homophobia. His best known works were Rent and Tick, Tick... Boom! He won three posthumous Tony Awards and a posthumous Pulitzer Prize for Drama for Rent.
Larson died on January 25, 1996 in New York City from an aortic dissection at the age of 35.[1]
