Josh Gottheimer (born March 8, 1975) is an American Democratic politician. He is a member of the United States House of Representatives for New Jersey's 5th congressional district since 2017.
Gottheimer first ran for United States House of Representatives in 2016. He won the election against the Republican, Scott Garrett. He won the second election in 2018. Gottheimer is know for voting with Republicans on some issues even if he is a Democrat.

2025 gubernatorial election
On November 15, 2024, Gottheimer announced that he would run for governor of New Jersey in 2025.[1] He lost the Democratic primary to U.S. Representative Mikie Sherrill in June 2025.
