Keiko Awaji (淡路 恵子, Awaji Keiko, ; 17 July 1933 – 11 January 2014) was a Japanese movie actress. She was known for her role in Akira Kurosawa's Stray Dog and as Kimiko in The Bridges at Toko-Ri. In The Bridges at Toko-Ri, she acted alongside William Holden and Mickey Rooney. Before playing a role in Stray Dog, she studied dancing and was not interested in doing films. She was married twice and had two sons from her second husband, Yorozuya Kinnosuke.[1]
She died at the age of 80 due to esophageal cancer in Tokyo.[2]
