In early 1985, the band was given $8,000 by Combat Records. The band was given this money to record and produce their first album. Later, the band was given another $4,000. Most of the money was spent on drugs, alcohol, and food. Megadeth fired their producer, and produced the record by themselves.^[3]^[4] A new version of the album was made in 2018. It was named Killing Is My Business... and Business Is Good! - The Final Kill.
