A Lua error in Module:Nihongo at line 88: attempt to call field '_transl' (a nil value). is a type of Japanese novel. It is mainly intended for young adults to read.[1][2] They are sometimes adapted into manga and anime.
One of the most popular light novels is the Haruhi Suzumiya series, which was one of the series to popularize the genre.
