Mahesh Bhatt

Mahesh Bhatt (20 September 1948 – 9 November 2024) was an Indian movie director, producer and screenwriter. He is known for his works in Hindi cinema. One of his best early movies is Saaransh (1984). It was shown at the 14th Moscow International Film Festival. The movie was India's official entry for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film for that year.^[1] The 1986 movie Naam was his first commercial movie.^[2] In 1987, he produced the movie Kabzaa under the banner, "Vishesh Films", with his brother Mukesh Bhatt.
