Manaslu (Nepali: मनास्लु, also known as Kutang) is the eighth tallest mountain of the world. It is located in Gorkha of Nepal. Its height is 8,163 metres (26,781 ft).[1] The name 'Manaslu' came from the Sanskrit word 'Manasa' which means 'spirit'. Japanese expedition team including Toshio Imanishi and Gyalzen Norbu climed Manaslu for the first time in May 9th, 1956. [2]
