The Manchester synagogue attack was a car ramming and stabbing that happened on 2 October 2025 during the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur.[1] It happened when a British man of Syrian descent drove a car into people before stabbing people at the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation, a synagogue in Higher Crumpsall, a suburb of Manchester in North West England.[2][3][4]
Three people were killed, including the perpetrator who was fatally shot by police. Three others, including a security guard, were injured and in hospital. The incident was called a terrorist attack later that day and three people were arrested.[5]
