Matthew Festing

Robert Matthew Festing (30 November 1949 – 12 November 2021) was an English Roman Catholic official. He was the 79th Prince and Grand Master of the Sovereign Military Order of Malta from 2008 until his resignation on 28 January 2017. He was born in Northumberland, England.

Festing died on 12 November 2021 from a sudden illness while he was attending an event in Valletta, Malta, eighteen days before his 72nd birthday.^[1]
