Michael J. Badnarik (/bædˈnɑːrɪk/ bad-NAR-ik; August 1, 1954 – August 11, 2022) was an American software engineer, political activist, politician, and radio talk show host. He was the Libertarian Party nominee for President of the United States in the 2004 elections.

In 2006, Badnarik unsuccessfully ran as the Libertarian candidate for the United States House of Representatives for Texas's 10th congressional district.[1]

Badnarik died on August 11, 2022 in San Antonio, Texas, ten days after his 68th birthday.[2]
